Financial Accountant

About the Company

Our client an international Financial Services company in Dublin city centre are recruiting a financial accountant within their team. This person will work in a team of accountants and will have broad exposure to a variety of responsibilities. It will suit a finalist level or newly qualified accountant with experience within the insurance industry / Big 4 practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for production and review of Monthly and Quarterly close activities.
• Quarterly Balance Sheet Reviews and analytics.

• Quarterly and adhoc legal entity financial analysis.
• Quarterly Board and Executive Management meeting finance presentations.
• Irish and UK GAAP quarterly reporting.
• Financial Statements preparation and review.  
• Support the production of the Finance input to the quarterly and annual Solvency II returns and narrative reports

• Support the External and Internal Audit process.  

Experience/Requirements

• Newly Qualified / Finalist / Part Qualified (ACCA/ACA/CIMA)
• 2-4 years relevant accounting experience within Big 4 accounting practice / insurance / financial services industry preferred.
• Good understanding of Irish GAAP, IFRS and US GAAP reporting requirements.
• Understanding of Solvency II framework and related reporting requirements preferred.
• Experience in Oracle reporting tools an advantage.
