About the Company
Our client are a leading insurance company based in Dublin. They have a very exciting role available for a skilled Data Analyst. This is initially a contract role to the end of 2023 but could extend further.
About the Position
In this role you will support the organisation to both develop and create advanced analytics and insights using their new claims platform. You will work closely together with colleagues in other EMEA countries to work actionable insights through to root cause and present findings back to the team.
Key Responsibilities
Main Duties:
Leverage your claims and analytics expertise to evolve analytics in Power BI and SQL to:
Develop and maintain Azure Cloud-based Dashboards to highlight financial and operational developments across territories and business lines.
Monitor and verify operational and financial claims performance, with an emphasis on reserving accuracy, and operational timeliness.
Oversee claims developments in other countries and challenge countries regarding adverse developments in main KPIs.
Uncover data and trend anomalies and follow up with the EMEA countries in the event of unexpected/unfavourable developments.
Create insights on claims performance by linking across multiple systems.
Support deep dive analysis on behalf of the Claims team.
Support branch Quality Assurance oversight by indicating areas of interest for deeper dives.
Creation of supporting reports / presentations to senior level audience.
Support multi-disciplinary projects and teams engage with IT specialists, Claim Operations SMEs, as well as the network of claims performance managers.
Engage with EMEA countries to ensure best practice in analytics and reporting.
Drive claims analytics from development to delivery and iterative improvement.
Additional tasks:
Conduct claims data mining and analytics investigations to spot underlying root causes.
Work closely with other countries and Global teams to ensure that they have high quality, timely, accurate and compelling front end/dashboards.
Collect data from multiple sources and prepare reports including commentary and analysis of trends to facilitate decision making.
Provide detailed procedural advice to EMEA countries to ensure that internal standards are adhered to.
Research primary data sources, select relevant information, analyse key themes and trends and make recommendations to the team.
Experience/Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
Bachelor’s degree, or higher-level qualification, in Information Technology, Mathematics/Statistics, or Analytics related field.
Experience of claims processes, knowledge / experience with claims legacy systems, claims and policy data landscape, management information systems.
Also:
A passion for data and robust numerical and analytical skills.
Experience working with multi-national teams, cultures and stakeholders on all levels.
Advanced communication, presentation, facilitation, organizational and planning skills.
Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English.
