Senior .Net Developer/Lead

About the Company

My client, a global aircraft leasing technology company who are well established and work with some of the biggest names in aviation have an excellent opportunity for a Senior .Net Developer to join their team. 

Well known as the global leader in aviation leasing with one of the most attractive order books in the industry serving approximately 300 customers around the world with comprehensive fleet solutions.

About the Position

As a Software Developer, you will have open opportunities to contribute to the full stack of our Aviation cloud based application platform from the user interface, through the API, persistence layer and deployment. It offers a high level of autonomy, working within an agile Kanban environment with a continuous release to production delivery flow.

Technology stack: C#, ASP.NET, MVC5, Vue, DevExpress, JavaScript, MS SQL Server

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret, solution design and correctly implement business requirements.
  •  Provide estimates of work to assist in project planning activity.
  • Design low-maintenance, sustainable and scalable software solutions to meet business requirements.
  • Reduce technical debt where appropriate. • Liaise with peer system owners to ensure any impacts are properly understood, documented, and mitigated against from an up and downstream perspective.
  • Build solutions using established industry best practices, technologies, and standards.
  • Lead & manage offshore developers where appropriate.
  • Complete tasks, reporting status and work assignments in a timely fashion.
  • Quality first environment, developing a clean code base and working with the test team to ensure the appropriate levels of testing and timely defect management and resolution.
  • Support business users through User Acceptance Testing.
  • Train the trainer - assist business system / process owners with training challenges.
  • Deploy solutions with care and contingency in mind.
  • Release Management, Runbook and Hypercare support and planning.
  • Collaborate with IT colleagues from Architecture, Infrastructure, Business Analysis, Test and Desktop Support.
  • Accurately document technical designs, constraints and code base to faciliate knowledge repository, cross training and impact assessments. Software Developer Information Technology
  • Ensure compliance with all organisational, legal, regulatory and department standards including SOX compliance and Security.

Experience/Requirements

  • A degree in software engineering, computing, or related subject.
  •  5+ years’ professional experience working in a Software Engineer/Developer / Applications Management role.
  • Excellent knowledge of C# ASP.NET MVC frameworks.
  • Experience with Visual Studio .NET and TFS.
  • Excellent knowledge of JavaScript, jQuery.
  • Experience with Relational databases, preferably Oracle.
  • Experience of Oracle PL/SQL usage for Business Logic.
  • Experience in writing .NET Web Services and consuming Web APIs.
  • Experience with React JS, Bootstrap, CSS.
  • Experience with DevOps pipeline.
  • Good understanding of version control software (branching, merging etc.).

Remuneration Package

Hybrid model 3/4 days in office in Shannon 
Salary: €90,000 with excellent benefits and 30 days annual leave
