About the Position


The Health, Safety, Quality, (HSQ) function within the company is responsible for all aspects of risk management, safety/ integrity policy and monitoring and internal and external quality assurance and compliance across all areas of the business.
As part of the Safety Framework team, you will ensure that the risk is managed to a level that is as low as reasonably practicable (ALARP).
The successful candidate will work closely with regulatory authorities and the business to ensure that the companies legislative and license requirements in relation to safety in multiple jurisdictions are fully met.
It is important that the candidate can communicate with all levels of the business and understand the technical aspects of Functional Health & Safety Management.
The industry is utilities. Health & Safety experience is essential however it would be advantageous for a candidate to understand Engineering terminology.

Experience/Requirements
Within this role you will be involved in

• Planning and overseeing Health & Safety management systems.

• Maintaining relationships both internally and externally.

• Knowledge of major accident hazards.

• Managing risks.

• Understanding Risk management methodology.

• Working as part of a team.

• Relevant third level education.
• Minimum 2 years work experience with Health & Safety.
• Comfortable report writing and document preparation skills.
• Engineering, Construction or Utilities experience is a major advantage, but not essential.
