Reinsurance Analyst
About the Company
Our client, a leading global insurer with a focus on specialty reinsurance risks, have an opening for an AVP level Reinsurance Analyst within their team. As AVP Reinsurance Analyst you will report to the head of operations and work in a team of 10 across Dublin and Bermuda to support aspects of the Finance and Reinsurance Operations. The AVP Reinsurance Analyst will have 3-4 direct reports.
About the Position
Key Responsibilities

• Participate in process improvement projects and system enhancements within the operations team.
• Perform implementation testing and preparing project implementation and testing documentation as needed.
• Process and review underwriting transactions.
• Assist with the accurate recording of transactions and the measuring of performance for proportional inwards and ceded contracts.
• Execute controls to ensure data integrity related to underwriting transactions, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Manage receivable and payable balances and performing broker follow up as required.
• Assist with the creation and updating of process documentation.
• Provide suggestions for process improvements where applicable.
• Maintain files associated with reinsurance transactions.
• Participate in the interim and year-end audit process.

• At least 5 years’ experience in a similar operational role in the reinsurance industry
• Good knowledge of reinsurance and insurance contract terms and structures.
• Accounting qualification / part-qualification preferred but not essential.
• Previous experience with proportional reinsurance contracts.
• Excellent Excel skills,
• Previous experience using SICS or similar underwriting system is an advantage
