About the Company

Our client is a world leading food and drink company built on three businesses: Essential Dairy and Plant-Based Products, Specialised Nutrition and Waters.

About the Position

The Long-term Planner is responsible for the preparation of the production plan in the mid to long-term horizon up to 18 months out, balancing factory capacity with customer demand. The role will connect with Projects team to ensure that Macroom Supply Chain can implement innovation or renovation projects in line with Supply Chain parameters and ways of working.

Key Responsibilities

(1)    Long-term Planning
1.    Owner of the 6-Box sales and operation planning process for Macroom
2.    Managing the demand and capacity balance
3.    Provide analysis to stakeholders regarding demand and capacity 
4.    Pro-actively seek improvements in the field of production planning 

(2)    Performance:
1.    Drive Supply Chain performance improvement and ways of working in the network via KPI’s 

2.    Supporting the Planning activities for Macroom to include stock Methodology, APO and SFG demand/capacity management, MRP

3.    Set up and managing KPI dashboard in line with targets, volumes versus target, CSL & PSL.

(3)    Contribute to the overall Supply Chain department performance plan in the areas of Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery

(4)    Maintaining positive working relationships and ensure effective communication at all levels

 

Experience/Requirements

  • Supply chain planning knowledge and understanding of S&OP processes & dynamics
  • Strong work ethic is required with enthusiasm for the role
  • Manufacturing, Material Planning or Controlling skills are an advantage
  • Capable of taking the lead in change and seeking out improvements
  • Ability to lead, motivate and communicate clear objectives
  • Mature and stable personality who can manage stressful and challenging environments
  • Strong support for high quality and hygiene standards
  • Logical and methodical approach to work practices and processes
  • Good reporting writing and numerical skills
  • Clear thinking individual who can resolve issues on their feet, decisive personality
  • 3+ years’ experience in supply chain/logistics/planning within a fast paced, high tech and high-volume environment is essential
  • Proven track record in managing complex projects, strategic vendor and/or business partner relationships
  • Third level qualification in Business or related discipline with an emphasis towards Operations, Supply Chain/Logistics, Manufacturing
  • Strong understanding of planning, scheduling and inventory control policies
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills combined with very strong business acumen
  • Strong problem-solving and decisive, analytical aptitude
  • Supply Chain Systems & SAP knowledge
