Management Accountant

About the Company
Management Accountant required for leading organisation within the Public Sector. This role is initially being offered as a one-year FTC with a view to becoming a permanent role.

About the Position
Reporting to the Finance Manager the role is to assist in the management of the financial control requirements for the  business within the covering budgetary control, financial planning, forecast management, periodic reporting and capital projects analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide periodic financial reports.
• Analysis and preparation of accruals
• Produce variance analysis reports.
• Periodic review of balance sheet accounts
• Budget, Forecast & 5 Year Planning preparation.
• Preparation and completion of financial year end tasks
• Ensure effective internal controls operate within the business unit.
• Identify & document improvements to control processes & procedures.
• Provide financial analysis to Managers on business performance.

• Qualified Accountant -ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA
• Sap experience would be advantageous.
• Excellent skills in Microsoft Office with a particular proficiency in the Excel package
• Strong management accounting experience essenctial
• The ability to lead, take ownership of projects and show initiative.
