Data Migration Developer

Salary: €45,000 - €55,000, Bonus and benefits

About 15% travel in teams to Ireland and UK client sites throughout the year (usually just an overnight trip) the rest can work from home.

Role Overview

• An exciting opportunity for a Data Migration/Maintenance Developer to join a highly skilled software implementation team.
• The team is tasked with the implementation of our comprehensive Credit Union Banking Solution for new clients or merger between existing clients.

• The Data migration developer’s main role is to ensure the accurate and timely migration of data between existing systems to our comprehensive Credit Union Banking Solution.

• The developer will share responsibilities with one other developer and will alternate between installations as deemed suitable.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the implementation team to analyse pre-installation requirements
• Create test data transfers and confirm balances with the implementation team
• Assist the implementation team during and after installations
• Ensure the accurate transfer of data between platforms
• Perform ad-hoc imports/updates of data for existing installations
• Prioritise and estimate work items as there could be multiple installations running concurrently
• Ensure auditability of updates following strict Data Protection guidelines
• Maintain and develop the bespoke ETL tools.

Minimum Technical Proficiency

• Development languages or Data Transformation tools.
• SQL / T-SQL
• SQL Server

• Beneficial but not essential - experience of Visual FoxPro or alternatively experience of Microsoft.net software or similar

We are looking for someone who has

• Must have a minimum of 2 years commercial experience in Software Development
• Solid experience working with data and data migration
• Proven analytic and problem-solving abilities
• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and deliver
• Willingness to travel up to ~ 20% of the time with a Full Driving License
