About the Company
My client is a well known and highly established semi-state government department. This department which is commercially focused, has been flourishing and is currently in growth. They control and manage a vast amount of rural land across all of Ireland and have over 10 office locations where you can work from throughout the country.
About the Position
This is an exciting Commercial Analyst role with a great team and within an intrinsically important department. You will have the responsibility for the overall commercial management of our clients partnership portfolios, including the farm partner portfolio and corporate financial partnership portfolios.
It involves the management of accurate partnership reporting, commercial assessment, financial analysis, profitability reviews & the payment process and maintenance of accurate partnership datasets.
Key Responsibilities
Complete robust, accurate and timely commercial analysis & financial modelling for partnerships which provides key management information to support commercial decision-making.
Continually assess reporting requirements, monitor feedback and update reports
Develop and manage accurate budgets and forecasts for each partnership
Collaborate with Finance on the processing of journals, invoices and payments
Monitor and explain any budget variances and investigate and resolve any reporting queries
Manage and co-ordinate information for any other partnership requirements, including ad-hoc queries from partners
Experience/Requirements
Candidates must have a Primary Degree or equivalent (NFQ Level 7)
Business, Financial, Forestry, or related qualification with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience
A strong commercial and financial Aacumen is a must, it would be a distinct advantage to have a understanding of commercial forestry or green renewables industries
Ability to manage top-line and bottom-line financials to maintain profitability and value from partnerships.
Strong IT skills, in particular Microsoft Excel and the supporting suite of Microsoft products.
Experience in database development and maintenance is desirable
Excellent analytical and organisational skills with experience in managing ‘big data
Remuneration Package
Salary DOE 50k +, bonus, pension, life assurance, 26 days annual leave ( 2 additional Co days), excellent support such as career break, study leave and much more. Also with 13 locations nationwide and 1 to 2 days required at head office in Wicklow, this role offers huge flexibility to work all across Ireland.
