Senior IT Project Manager - 6 Month daily rate contract

This role can be fully remote.

About the Company


My client is a global diversified technology and multi-industrial leader serving a wide range of customers in more than 150 countries.

About the Position
My client has two Network focused projects currently at early stages in the Project lifecycle.  One is focused on refreshing an aging Firewall Estate and the second is tasked with upgrading legacy Network infrastructure at 2 of their datacentres.

Key Responsibilities
  • Good all-rounder with experience of global migrations and deployments
  • Liaise with technical teams to drive delivery, identify potential gaps and find solutions
  • Able to understand and assess technical execution options to determine the least amount of risk for the business
  • Work with Delivery Teams to coordinate build, test, implementation and decom
  • Marry, schedule and resources in an environment where “shared” resources are used for execution.
  • Have a deep and comprehensive understanding of organizational and project finances, including CAPEX and OPEX splits, profit and loss and accruals. Be comfortable with financial approval processes.
  • Work as a collaborative member of the Network and Cloud Teams, supporting colleagues as necessary
  • Able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization, understanding their audience and the nuances that different roles/levels require
  • Must be driven, delivery focused and tenacious.  Must enjoy a challenge.

Experience/Requirements
  • Experience of working in complex, Global organisations
  • Bachelor's degree required; Advance degree in IT related field or MBA preferred.
  • 10 Years of Project Management experience in a large multi-unit organization required.
  • 3 years supervisory experience overseeing global teams, project managers, application leads.
  • Project Management Accreditation (APMP, PMI, Prince 2 or equivalent preferred.
  • Advanced project management skills.  Knowledge of project management vocabulary and terminology.  Mastery of project domain.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, analytic, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively.
  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills.  Cultural adaptability.  Virtual and remote team management ability.  Independent and innovative spirit.  Flexible and responsive to input.
  • Needs to demonstrate Servant Leadership.  The Sr. PM must demonstrate that he/she is there to help achieve the project outcomes/meet the needs of the customer.
  • Domain knowledge in healthcare or insurance industry (preferred)  
  • Soft Skills: Strong Communication and Teamwork, Innovative, Quick Learner

Remuneration Package

€600- €700+ per day depending on experience and relevant skills.
