Agile Technical Analyst
My client is a global company with offices in Dublin City centre. They have an immediate requirement for an Agile Technical Analyst, mostly remote, to join their team for a minimum of 12 months. Strong likelihood this position will be made permanent after 12 months.

About the Position
As a Technical Analyst, you will have responsibilities that include technical analysis, writing functional/technical stories, producing interface specifications and testing related to the front, middleware and backend components of new product/ services developed. You will support the Senior Tech Analyst and interface with members of your cross functional scrum team as well as business analysts from the business to deliver digital solutions.



Key Responsibilities

  • Ability to work with product, business and application teams to write technical user stories for the development team
  • Ability to read Java code to understand existing system behavior
  • Experience running web services using tools like Soap UI, XML Spy, etc.
  • Experience testing web services to see if they meet acceptance criteria defined by user stories
  • Experience working with XML, JSON message formats
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and time management skills
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong experience with Agile development methodologies
  • Strong SQL skills to analyze existing data and identify gaps/data quality issues
  • Experience writing technical stories in JIRA/confluence using industry standard notations (like BDD/Gherkin)
  • Experience working in large, complex data environments
  • Experience working on large and medium scale software projects
  • Experience working with cross functional, multi-location team


Preferred Experience:
 
  • Understanding of fundamentals of DevOps, Continuous Delivery & Accept Test Drive Development (ATDD)
  • Experience with Agile Management tools (e.g. Agile Central, JIRA, VersionOne)
  • Understanding of the value of commitments to delivery made by a development team
  • Understanding of backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, and task definition
  • Lean Methodology Certification(s)
  • Healthcare experience
  • Experience practically implementing or executing within the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
  • Ability to lead and influence large matrix teams both on and off-shore
  • Experience with DevOps (Acceptance Test Driven Development , Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Service Oriented Architecture) 
  • Successful in obtaining results in a large corporate (Fortune 200), heavily matrixed environment
  • Experience leading agile/scrum adoption at the team level
