No SQL / SQL Database Engineer

About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Database Engineer with experience of both relational and non-relational databases to join the team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing cutting-edge data-driven applications within one of the most interesting parts of one of the world’s largest banks.  This role is initially a 6-month daily rate contract but it may extend.

The Role

• Design and develop data workflow solutions using NoSQL and SQL-based data stores to help solve complex business problems
• Work closely with business users, business analysts, and development colleagues to create best-in-class risk management solutions

Experience/Requirements

• Proven experience in building complex data workflow solutions that encompass different technology components
• Comprehensive knowledge of NoSQL solutions, preferably with MongoDB and Redis
• Experience with relational databases and SQL
• Strong practical data modelling and data workflow design skills
• Cloud-native application design experience
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

Remuneration Package

A very strong rate is on offer to the successful candidates along with remote / hybrid working, and the possibility of extension.
