Demand Planner - FMCG

About the Company

Our client is a leading international food business that has built three significant growth platforms; the UK, Europe, and Ireland, each with its own diverse portfolio of leading food brands. 

About the Position

We're seeking a competent professional to manage the demand planning function for a leading FMCG food business. You'll be responsible for delivering accurate forecasts for 3,500 products across 200 brands in 35 categories, and work closely with cross-functional teams. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing an effective demand planning strategy in collaboration with the Head of Sales & Operations Planning to optimize processes
  • Overseeing the demand planning team and ensuring optimal performance
  • Leading the implementation of cutting-edge demand planning software as part of the overall integrated planning system rollout
  • Creating, reviewing, and managing an 18-month rolling forecast with input from the commercial team
  • Chairing and driving all forecast review meetings both internally and externally
  • Managing and generating various demand planning reports to support the function
  • Presenting demand plans to various stakeholders as required
  • Providing support to the supply chain and cross-functional colleagues when necessary
  • Contribute to the continuous development of supply chain processes and tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
 

Experience/Requirements

  • Demand/Supply or other relevant planning experience required preferably in FMCG or another fast-paced environment
  • Experience using/implementing a recognised supply chain planning tool/tools within an ERP system
  • Experience using statistical forecasting functionalities an advantage
  • Highly proficient in Excel
  • Experience driving reviews cross-functionally within a business
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • 3rd level degree in a relevant discipline
  • APICS/IPICS/IBF Certification an advantage
