Programme Manager – Client Onboarding - London

About the Position

My exclusive client, a leading global insurer now has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Programme Manager to join the team.
The Programme Manager will lead onboarding projects for newly acquired large clients. You will be responsible for the smooth go-live of the new clients, and be accountable for all core deliverables of the onboarding projects. The Programme Manager will be required to coordinate several workstreams for each project such as IT, Legal, Operations and HR, and ensure that all stakeholders are engaged and delivering on time.
Given the nature and importance of these projects, the role will report directly to the COO and respond to a Steering Committee for each project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Main coordinator of multiple work packages between Client, UK Business Unit and Global Office.
  • Responsible for the engagement of project stakeholders, planning, execution and governance of multiple work packages 
  • Manage the portfolio of projects, sub-projects and work packages from initiation through to closure
  • Develop and maintain project documentation and ensure project governance including management of risks, issues and decisions
  • Planning, Tracking, Reporting and Communication, including with respective Steering Committee
  • Align with Local and Global Organisational Management teams to drive the harmonization of processes and products supporting the onboarding of the key contract on to my clients platform
  • Ensure project management standards and processes are maintained through the project life cycle, and delivered on time, on budget, with the agreed level of quality

Experience/Requirements

  • 7 + years’ experience in Programme / Senior Project management positions
  • Highly experienced in managing the onboarding of large corporate clients 
  • Demonstrable Workshop Facilitation skills
  • Comfortable with working with senior members of staff, up to Exec Board level
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to foster relationships with peers and other functions
  • Experience of managing implementation projects in the Travel Insurance / Insurance sector is highly desirable
