About the Position:

As the Legal Counsel, reporting directly to the CEO, you will play a pivotal role in providing expert legal advice and support across various areas of law. This is a broad and project-based role within a multinational organization, offering diverse challenges and opportunities for professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Protection Law: Utilize your expertise to provide invaluable advice on data protection law and efficiently handle data access requests, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.

Compliance and Governance: Act as a trusted advisor, guiding the company on acts and decisions necessary to meet legal and contractual obligations. Assist with corporate governance matters, including the maintenance of statutory registers, preparation of board resolutions, and documentation for AGM and general meetings.

Contractual Documentation: Showcase your contract law proficiency by advising on and reviewing various contractual documents, such as PPP contracts, construction contracts, and finance documents. Skillfully draft, negotiate, and review employment contracts and service agreements critical to ongoing project operations.

Communication and Claims Management: Effectively communicate with authorities, lenders, and state agencies through well-crafted correspondence. Display your astute legal acumen in handling claims against the company and preparing claims for damages when necessary.

Legal Advisory: Offer timely, high-quality, and user-friendly legal and regulatory advice on a wide range of issues related to the company's functions. Identify legal and commercial risks and recommend mitigation strategies that align with the company's strategic objectives.

Experience/Requirements:

Qualified Solicitor: Hold a valid Solicitor qualification with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a commercial law role, showcasing your extensive legal expertise.

Broad Legal Knowledge: Demonstrate a strong understanding and practical experience in various areas of law, including company law, contract law, corporate law and governance, administrative law, project finance, employment law, and data protection law.

Skills/Experience:

Legal Drafting and Negotiation: Possess exceptional skills in legal drafting and negotiation, enabling you to craft effective contracts and agreements that protect the company's interests.

Analytical and Problem-Solving Abilities: Exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving skills, enabling you to navigate complex legal issues and provide practical solutions.

Practical and Strategic Advice: Offer practical and strategic legal advice, taking into account the company's objectives and ensuring compliance while driving business success.

Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Communicate with clarity, both orally and in writing, and effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential for building relationships and establishing trust.

Attention to Detail and Time Management: Display a keen eye for detail, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in your work. Efficiently manage multiple tasks and deadlines to deliver results effectively.
