Job Title – Senior Lead Maintenance Electrician

About the Position
I am currently recruiting for the a Senior Lead Maintenance Electrician in Dublin. This site is the largest municipal wastewater treatment plant in Ireland and one of the largest in Europe treating for a population equivalent of 2.4 million people.
Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, direct and motivate a team of highly skilled electricians in a highly automated industrial processing environment.
 
  • Execute maintenance activities on electrical equipment including instrumentation, PLC’s, Variable Speed Drives ensuring safe, reliable plant.

  • Making sure maintenance tasks are completed.

  • Assign maintenance activities to team members on PEMAC (software) maintenance management system.
 
  • Train maintenance electricians on electrical equipment and instrumentation, improve team’s systematic fault finding skills

  • Effective analysis and elimination of recurring equipment problems.
 
  • Manage a team of maintenance electricians, electrical apprentices and contractor electricians

  • Be active in Identification, quantification, implementation and presentation of equipment continuous improvement projects including contractor document evaluation and management
 
  • Maintain communication between the electrical and fitter teams
 
  • Participate in on-call electrician roster
Experience/Requirements
  • Demonstrate the ability to manage and motivate staff.
  • Electrician with QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate Craft - Electrical or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of switchgear, MCC controls, relay logic and various AC and DC voltage systems.
  • High-level diagnostic and problem-solving skills in an industrial environment.
  • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical process plant and associated maintenance activities.
  • 5 years’ experience in an industrial environment.
  • Demonstrate detailed understanding of H&S statutory requirements, responsibilities and obligations.
Desirable
  • Knowledge of Alan Bradley PLC’s, Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet & Profibus communications protocols.
  • Good knowledge of ABB Variable Speed Drives.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of ATEX zoned areas.
  • CompEx certification.
  • Medium voltage switching experience and qualification.
  • Familiar with SCADA process control systems for process and fault diagnosis.
Remuneration Package
  • 23 days annual leave plus all the Bank Holidays including Good Friday
 
  • Access to our defined contribution pension scheme upon successful completion of a 6 month probationary period.  Members can choose to contribute either 5% or 7.5% of their base salary, which the company will also match. The pension scheme has benefits which provide death in service and serious illness income protection cover.
 
  • Performance bonus of up to 5% of salary
 
  • 2 paid GP visits per annum
 
  • We encourage our team members to personally develop and will fund any further studies related to their role





On call daily rate for Electricians and Fitters of €20 per day whilst on call in addition to the following overtime rates:
Standard Rate € 33.41/h
After 12 midnight: € 44.56/h
Sundays and bank holidays: € 44.56/h
