Oversight Customer Payments Specialist
My client a leading payment provider of point-of-sale solutions is currently seeking an Oversight Customer Payments Specialist. The primary responsibility will be for the execution of certain Customer Payments operational tasks, and for ensuring the effective oversight of operational outsourcing arrangements related to the Customer Payments function. The role will also comprise of several operational functions including Customer Onboarding / KYC/B, Customer Payments, Customer Support, Risk & Compliance Operations, Card Scheme Operations, and Third-Party Management.
Key Responsibilities
Review and approval / return of inbound credit transfers (customer receipts) and outbound credit transfers (customer payments) as referred from OSP.
Investigate real-time suspicious payment alerts referred from OSP, escalate suspicious or unusual customer payment transactions or behaviours to MPL 2nd line of defence.
Conduct Quality Assurance sampling of customer transactions against MPL fraud, risk and compliance controls.
Review and approve / return customer new payee setup requests as referred from OSP.
Daily oversight of OSP’s compliance with obligations of the outsourcing Statement of Work (“SoW”) for Customer Payments, ensure services are provided within SLAs, monitor KPIs, review and analyse all scheduled reports.
Serve as point of escalation for referrals from OSP,.
Produce weekly, monthly and quarterly operational dashboards and reports in relation to Customer Payments activities executed in Dublin and carried out by OSP
Support the investigation and resolution of areas of weakness or concern in Customer Payments
Serve as primary point of contact for all operational queries relating to Customer Payments
Carry out testing of Disaster Recovery / Business Continuity Management (“DR / BCM”) plans, including DR / BCM of OSP, for Customer Payments as provided in the MPL BCM policy and the SoW for Customer Payments.
Ensure the SoW for Customer Payments is always complete and up-to-date with
Support the MPL COO or Operations Manager in service reviews with OSP relating to Customer Payments.
Experience/Requirements
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Customer Payments operational role in EMI, banking or payments services.
Knowledge of SWIFT and SEPA schemes and mechanisms.
Practical experience of managing and reporting oversight of outsourced activities.
Hands-on experience of business continuity programs and testing.
A disciplined professional with a proven ability to manage workload, prioritise and escalate issues, and meet reporting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
A team player with excellent interpersonal skills, able to work independently and collaboratively.
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
Remuneration Package
Salary 50,000 to 60,000 plus bonus and benefits
