Site Engineer – Portlaoise
This is an
international company active in the consulting, construction engineering and mobility service sectors that design and operate intelligent infrastructure and buildings.
In this role you will work closely with the Senior Engineer and assist the Maintenance manager the day to day running of the site and project. You will oversee road maintenance and construction tasks. Within the role you will also be involved in onsite inspections, managing subcontractors and surveying.
Key Responsibilities
Safety & cyclical inspections of road inventory and assets (road lighting, road structures, pavements, road furniture)
Use Road maintenance management system to identify and categorise defects to network assets.
Coordinate repairs to damaged network assets.
Costing and proposals for client review.
Create and maintain accurate work records.
Liaise with local authorities.
Preparation of traffic management using AutoCAD
Planning works
Experience/Requirements
Civil / construction maintenance background
2+ years’ experience
Commercial awareness
Excellent IT Skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Road experience (advantage but not essential)
Full Irish drivers’ licence
