The company focus on mid-market and enterprise-level business customers in the world of integrated financial services, including payments, FX, fraud management, reconciliation and more. About the Position
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Temporary Qualified Accountant to support our yearly financial audit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices, along with expertise in financial analysis, reporting, and auditing. This position is temporary and will provide crucial assistance in ensuring a smooth and accurate completion of our annual financial audit. This is a temporary position for the duration of the yearly financial audit
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with the audit team to gather and review financial data, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Assist in conducting audits of financial statements, records, and transactions to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
Perform detailed analysis of financial statements and records, identifying any discrepancies or irregularities.
Prepare supporting schedules, reconciliations, and workpapers to facilitate the audit process.
Support daily reconciliation activities with a view to simplifying and automating.
Assist in the evaluation of internal controls, identifying areas for improvement and making recommendations.
Verify the accuracy and completeness of financial data by conducting sample testing and analysis.
Provide assistance in preparing audit reports and documentation, including clear and concise explanations of findings and recommendations.
Participate in meetings with management, auditors, and other stakeholders to discuss audit progress and findings.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards, regulations, and best practices.

Experience/Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent qualification).
Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA, etc.) is required.
Previous experience in financial auditing, preferably in a public accounting firm or corporate audit environment.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and financial reporting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).
Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office applications, especially Excel for data analysis.
Competencies
Strong attention to detail and ability to work with numerical data accurately.
Excellent organisational and time management skills to meet audit deadlines.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with team members and auditors.
Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and investigate discrepancies.
Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
