Key Responsibilities

• Cleaning and sterilising glassware.
• Keeping records and presenting findings.
• Disposing of waste using safe methods.
• Ensuring the lab is adequately stocked and resourced, with everything accurately labelled.
• Conducting lab testing to produce reliable data in support of scientific investigations.
• Preparing samples and specimens.
• Demonstrating procedures.
• Presenting results to senior staff members.
• Conducting thorough risk assessments.
• Remaining up to date with the latest developments in your field.

Experience/Requirements

• 1 year of industry/academic experience as a lab assistant.
• Have successfully completed a level 7 life sciences or analytical sciences course.
• Time management skills including ability to prioritise.
• Good communication skills.
• Demonstrated organisational skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work without supervision.
• Ability to work in a dynamic and multidisciplinary environment.
