Leading organisation within the manufacturing and energy sector require a financial controller to join their team. They are well established and in growth mode with an established reputation for customer service, quality, and responsiveness. Progressive organisation with flexible hybrid working.
About the Position
Based in Co. Cavan with a strong clientele our client are seeking a talented and ambitious individual as a Financial Controller and to join our leadership team. With a focus on profitability, process improvement, and growth, you will thrive in a fast-paced environment. This role will provide leadership for the various finance teams and report to the CEO.
Key Responsibilities
Manage, mentor and develop the finance team, managing work allocation, training, growth and efficiency for success.
Align the finance division with the strategic business goals and company values, vision and mission.
Be accountable for all financial functions including: AP/Purchasing, AR, payroll, internal cost controls, budgeting, forecasting, currency management, project costings, month and year-end, reconciliations, and general ledger management.
Identify and implement new systems and technologies.
Work with external providers on items such as withholding tax/tax, insurance, pensions and healthcare to ensure all global statutory financial requirements for the organization are met.
Deliver timely and accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with corporate requirements, i.e.:
Management accounts for the CEO together with monthly finance KPI’s
Work with the CEO build successful relationships with external government agencies, funding organisations, financial entities, and key client investors and partners when and where appropriate.
Be responsible for the financial system and the financial data within various supporting systems.
Experience/Requirements
Qualified accountant ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CPA
Minimal 2 years’ experience in a similar role
Commercial experience essential
Strong SME experience desirable
Demonstrated track record of managing costs effectively and delivering.
