Procurement Manager – HR and L&D Services

About the Company
One of Ireland’s fastest growing technology company’s based in Dublin, is currently looking to recruit a Procurement Manager to work with their team to develop a robust strategic procurement function and to manage and operate this function to the highest standard across all of their sites in Ireland. With numerous stakeholders in play, this will be a very active role for someone who is looking to work within a company that operates efficiently and effectively. This is an indirect procurement role and will cover all categories related to their operation.

About the Position
Reporting to the procurement director, the procurement manger will plan, regulate, and monitor the tender process across the HR and L&D category for their functions across Europe. The role will focus on managing efficiency improvements in the procurement process. Working closely with all departments you will identify process improvement and cost management saving opportunities to help the overall success of the facility.

Within this role you will be involved in

  • Key strategic decision making related to procurement
  • Internal client management
  • Manage the vendor selection process in the area of HR and L&D
  • Manage external supplier to ensure best practice supply
  • Manage negotiations with vendors/suppliers
  • Operational efficiencies across the supply chain function
  • Manage the interface between the client and the Office of Government Procurement and the Education Procurement Service, ensuring that information requirements are met on a timely basis
  • HR and L&D Category Management
  • Team Management
  • Manage the supply chain risk and improve sustainability across the function
For this role you are required to have;
  • A min of 5 years procurement experience.
  • Experience in public procurement is essential for this role
  • Experienced working in a continuous improvement environment 
  • A strategic thinker and experience in planning
  • Strong Negotiating skills
  • Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
