About the Company

Our client based in North Dublin is one of Ireland's fastest growing accountancy firms. Their business is going through both strategic acquisition and new business wins across both their audit and tax divisions. Their ethos is focused on providing clients with a high-grade all-round service.
This is a newly created position to join the firm as their Head of Tax with a clear path to partnership.
In addition to the traditional accounting and audit assignments, they provide advanced tax and business consulting solutions. Their impressive client base includes high profile corporate and indigenous companies and high net worth clients. As part of their growth strategy, they have invested heavily in technology and operate many packages typically seem in a top 10 firm.
Their tax division is one of their high growth divisions, operating with a progressive approach and fast pace. Over the next 12 months, they are set to grow their business substantially. As part of their development, they are hiring a Tax Director to lead the tax department and have a clear part to Partnership and work as part of their Leadership team.

Tax Director 
The successful candidate will assume responsibility for an existing tax division employing a number of qualified and part qualified tax professionals. The role will involve growing the tax division and fee income, developing the existing tax team and managing tax consultancy and advisory assignments. Additionally, as a key member of staff, the successful applicant will be expected to contribute to the strategic development and direction of the firm.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing clients with high-level planning and consultancy advice
  • Working with existing clients to develop new business opportunities 
  • Providing internal “update briefings” to professional staff across the firm
  • Assisting with developing the firm's image by the provisional of technical articles on tax issues for internal and external publications
  • Advising high-net-worth clients regarding business and investment matters

Experience/Requirements

Potential candidates should be a tax professional at senior management level within a medium to large accounting firm or specialist tax practice. They should be commercially focussed with a focus on developing business and have good leadership skills.
