Functional Architect, Insurance and Health solutions
As a functional architect, you'll blend business solution design and architecture. Your focus will be on aligning enterprise systems' business capabilities with corporate strategy.
You'll offer direction and guidance on functional solution design to support vital business programs and projects, bridging the gap between business and technology.
This role aligns strategic objectives with product decisions, organization, capabilities, and key initiatives, creating a roadmap for the future operating model.
The ideal candidate is business-focused, strategic, with an aptitude for understanding and influencing key business strategies to drive IT and business alignment.
Responsibilities

• Collaborating with business leaders to create functional solution proposals
• Proactively identifying capability gaps and proposing solutions
• Assessing feasibility and estimating high-level IT costs for new initiatives
• Providing leadership for strategic business needs
• Validating project proposals' alignment with the overall roadmap Defining scope, high-level requirements, and functional design for complex projects
• Supporting IT delivery teams, ensuring alignment with solution design and business goals
• Identifying design decisions, leading design workshops, and presenting recommendations Engaging closely with business stakeholders and advocating functional architecture
• Monitoring the IT solutions market and offering expert opinions Ensuring adherence to IT standards and strategy Business travel may be required

• A degree in IT, Business, or Finance 3+ years' proven Functional Architect experience, preferably in Financial Services 8-10 years' IT Business Analyst experience (Waterfall & Agile methodologies)
• A track record of contributing to large-scale application delivery Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
• Effective leadership, relationship-building, coaching, and mentoring abilities Innovative thinking and a penchant for driving change
• Strong influencing skills, especially with senior executives
• Cross-border and cross-organizational work capacity Commercial acumen
• Preferred TOGAF certification
