About the Position

🔬 Analytical Scientist required for a Pharma site in Tipperary. 💊
If you have skills in Formulation, Process Development or Tech Transfer and Tipperary is an attractive location then I want to hear from you!
This is a great opportunity to join a company as they embark on a new phase of growth. Your experience level can vary from Junior to Senior but the skillsets above are needed.
You also need to hold an EU passport or Stamp 4 as sponsorship isn't available.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with lead formulator to align and execute formulation and process development activities based on established protocols and procedures.
  • Assist in the manufacture of batches of product as required, e.g. for process development, Scale-up, Technology Transfer, stability studies or use in clinical trials.
  • Use appropriate statistical tools, critical evaluations, and interpretations to ensure data driven justification of formulation and manufacturing processes.
  • Write experimental protocols, maintain timely & reliable recording of experimental data and report output from experimental studies.
  • Collaboration on manufacturing process development, batch records, material specifications, process validation.
  • Communicate progress of projects effectively, including risks & recommend contingency plans (as required) to lead formulator or manager.
  • Participate in practical problem solving in relation of on-going and new projects.
  • Understands the principle of GMP and its requirements, SOP’s and policies as applied to pharmaceutical environments.
  • Understand Quality by Design concept and its application to pharmaceutical development.

Experience/Requirements

  • Degree educated in Science, Engineering or related field. 
  • Newly qualified or with 1-2yrs pharmaceutical, biotechnology or medical device industry experience in either formulation, process or technology development.
  • Experience in inhalation product development, metered dose or dry powder inhalers would be desirable, but not essential.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Able to cope with pressure and change.

Remuneration Package

Salary is negotiable depending on experience.
