Senior Electrical Design Engineer – Data Centres

About the Company
We are currently working with one of Ireland’s leading consultancies who specialise in the Electrical & Mechanical Design for the Data Centre sector, in the areas of MV (Medium Voltage) and HV (High Voltage) substations and power systems. They are currently looking to recruit am Senior Electrical Design engineer with experience power to work on some of Ireland’s most exciting projects both in the commercial and tech sectors. The specialise in all building related design services from earthing to power to protection.
This client is one of Europe’s leading names in energy and engineering and offer a range of service to the power industry.
About the Position
This position focused on electrical design of large substations programs, budget management, risks and issues for voltages at 110kV and 220kV, 220/400kV

• Preparation of engineering design (substation layouts, elevations, lightning zones)
  • Preparation of panel schematic drawings using Eplan
  • Design of protection and control schemes.
  • Engineering studies using industry leading software
  • Preparation of equipment specifications.
  • Technical evaluation of equipment offers. Technical report writing.
• Development and agreement of project baselines (scope, cost, time).
• Development of reports, KPI’s and dashboards
• Constructability Assessments on greenfield sites.
• Represent the company to the client in all aspects of the projects.
• Manage construction teams and project schedules.
• Technical engagement with external consultants, contractors, utilities and grid companies
• CAPEX management

• 5 years experience in electrical design
• Substation experience
• Knowledge of the technical specification design function
• Project Management experience
• Familiar with ESB standards.
• Data Centre experience
• Building Services experience
• Bid and Tender experience.
• Client and sub-contractor management
• A reputation for project delivery

Remuneration Package
The client offers an excellent package along with a car allowance. They also offer pension and a project completion bonus
