Programme Manager  – Rail Infrastructure
About the Company
Our client, one of Irelands largest employers, is currently looking to recruit a Programme Manager with an engineering/construction background to manage the delivery of a large rail related programs in Dublin
This role involves developing a commercial strategy in the area of operational management and the planning and costing of projects across the rail network in Ireland. You will also
Developing and delivering the strategy for programme delivery and the success of this major expansion project
They have one of the largest portfolios in the country and are looking to continue their expansion across this function.
These projects are essential development to their nationwide delivery, and it is paramount that they complete these project on time and on budget. You will work with a very experienced team who are experts in large engineering infrastructure programs projects, and you will manage and guide them to success on this program. Planning is an essential aspect of this program.
This is a very important time for the development of the rail network in Ireland and these projects are essential for the development of Irish infrastructure
About the Position
Within this role you will be involved in
 

• Technical and commercial project management
• Developing and delivering the strategy for programme delivery
• Financial Management
• Commercial Strategy Management
• Tender assessment and SLA management
• Safety Management
• PPP contracts management would be beneficial
• Manage stake holder relationships through the project lifecycle
• Leading the procurement of major developments
• Team leading and team management
• Report to board on project development
• Design and construction review
• Responsibility for overall project delivery
• Manage junior project managers to ensure the project runs smoothly
• Monitor consultants design work and make recommendations where needed.
• Generate regular reports on the project status.
• Client and stake holder management.

• Extensive operational rail experience
• 15 years experience in project and commercial management
• Experience in managing budgets and capital investment
• A related qualification in engineering. Quantity Surveying/Civil/Planning/Commercial
• Chartered Engineer or a member of Engineers Ireland
• Commercial management ability
• Sustainable development
• Experience with CWMF and NEC forms of contract
• You will have a background in project delivery
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to negotiate where needed.

Remuneration Package
Remuneration is dependent on industry experience and qualifications.
