About the Company
A global brand related to the construction and facilities industry, based in Dublin, is currently looking to recruit a Procurement Manager to work with their team to develop a robust strategic procurement function and to manage and operate this function to the highest standard across all of their sites in Ireland. This client are a specialist in the With both external clients and internal stakeholders in play, this will be a very active role for someone who is looking to work within a company that operates efficiently and effectively. This role will help stream line an already efficient procurement function and aid this company to excel on projects for their clients. This role will have interaction with the UK and mainland Europe and travel on occasion will be required.
About the Position
Reporting to the procurement director, the procurement manger will plan, regulate, and monitor the tender process across all categories for their functions across Ireland, with interaction in Europe. The role will focus on managing efficiency improvements in the procurement process. Working closely with all departments you will identify process improvement and cost management saving opportunities to help the overall success of the company. You will manage both materials and project plans to ensure that all projects are staffed and have sufficient supplies at all times.
Within this role you will be involved in
Key strategic decision making related to procurement
Internal client management
Manage the vendor selection process in the area of Facilities Management (FM)
Manage external supplier to ensure best practice supply
Manage negotiations with vendors/suppliers
Operational efficiencies across the supply chain function
Manage the interface between the client and the Office of Government Procurement and the Education Procurement Service, ensuring that information requirements are met on a timely basis
Develop a stringent rebate management function
Ensure cost management is adhered to across the company.
Manage the ERP system and ensure that billing and invoicing is monitored
Manage the supply chain risk and improve sustainability across the function
For this role you are required to have;
A min of 8 years procurement experience.
Experienced working in a continuous improvement environment
A strategic thinker and experience in planning
Strong Negotiating skills
Experience with SAP and Power BI
Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
