My client, based in South Dublin, is a world-leading healthcare intelligence and clinical research organisation. They are one of the most successful Irish companies trading on the US stock exchange and have gone from strength to strength in the last 4-5 years. Now employing over 40,000 people across 70 countries, they have created a new role within the Pharma Solutions division and looking to hire a Manager for their Finance Business partnering group.
 

About the Position

The GBS Business Partnering Group sits within the Corporate Finance arm. This role is aimed at providing independent, objective, financial and consulting services designed to add value, direction and leadership to specific support department lines within the business, enabling the company to accomplish its objectives by bringing a global, systematic and disciplined approach to evaluating company performance and strategic direction.

Key Responsibilities

  • To provide Support Department leaders with monthly, quarterly, annual and ad hoc financial reports and analysis.
  • Assist in the development of on-going and new financial management initiatives and projects to support the financial targets of the business.
  • Emphasis on collaborating and effectively communicating with executive stakeholders, providing opinion, financial insights and strategic input.
  • Develop, manage and analyse capital spend business cases, collaborating with various operational and financial executive stakeholders.
  • Analyse and translate data into key strategic inputs and insights to drive decision making.
  • Help develop annual and long-term financial plans for support departments.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly Support department reporting packs.
  • Provide assistance to Support departments by providing detailed research of variances by understanding GL and transactional level details.
  • Develop, prepare and maintain monthly financial forecasts including budget reconciliations and supporting analysis for the business unit.
  • Managing and producing detailed headcount reports to assist with effective resource management and projections.
  • Provide financial support and KPI analysis for all business planning initiatives.
  • Support Finance Senior Manager in broader consolidation and management of supporting analysts.

Experience/Requirements

  • Fully qualified ACA/CIMA/ACCA
  • A minimum of 3 - 5 years post qualification experience in an industry financial role, proficient level of financial analysis, problem solving and reporting of benefit.
  • Some people management experience would be preferable with track record of delivering added value and results.
  • Good systems experience, Oracle, Hyperion, PowerPoint an advantage and excellent Excel knowledge

Remuneration Package

  • €85,000 – €90,000
  • 25 days holidays
