About the Company
We are currently looking to recruit a Project Engineer rail expansion programs in Munster, based from Cork. This an opportunity to work with one of Europe’s largest engineering companies who have experience in large infrastructure and transport programs. This consultancy manage and delivery large scale projects from the planning stage to handover and have expertise, and a successful record across Europe.
They have recently secured a number of large rail projects across the Munster region This is a great opportunity to be involved in a sector that is as important to the consumer as it is to the environment. These rail expansion programs are essential to improve the network across the Munster region
About the Position
As the Project Manager for these programs, you will have full life cycle management on a number of large rail related construction/engineering projects across Munster. You will have a full responsibility of your own projects and the responsibility to develop a team around you. Stake holder management is essential for this role and experience in solar programs would be a distinct advantage.
Experience/Requirements 
Within this role you will be involved in

  • Project Management of large-scale rail upgrade programs.
  • Ability to create planning schedules in primavera 6.
  • Team leading and team management across all aspects of Engineering.
  • Manage team meetings and progress status updates.
  • Review of exiting plans and update for the client where needed.
  • Monitor the schedules and time scales regarding design and delivery.
  • Manage junior engineer to ensure the project runs smoothly
  • Manage subcontractors at the development stage
  • Deliver information to the client in a timely manner
  • Generate regular report on the project status.
  • Cost, revenue and cash flow management.
  • Liaise with local authorities on planning issues
  • Experience in rail project is an advantage.  
For this role you are required to have;
  • A min or 5 years project management experience
  • A related Engineering qualification
  • You MUST be degree qualified
  • Experience in Rail
  • Preconstruction experience
  • Ideally you will have experience in Rail or large infrastructure projects
  • Experience in Civil, Mechanical and Electrical Projects
  • A self-starter and the ability to manage multiple projects as any given time.
