About the Company

My client, based in Dundalk Co. Louth, is a well-known, large and progressive Accountancy practice that is continuing to grow its team. They provide a range of services including Audit, tax and advisory to a diverse and interesting client base compromising both national and international clients. Due to continued growth, they are seeking to add to their team a qualified or part qualified Auditor.
 

About the Position

Working in their audit department, the role will entail overseeing audit work on the firm’s portfolio of clients and being responsible for the delivery of completed and compliant files for review and finalisation.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Have a track record of audit exposure previously, (ideally across all sectors of the economy).
  • Have a record of being the lead on an audit team engaging with clients directly in the field.
  • Have the commensurate technical skills and awareness of audit and accounting standards that go with such experience.
  • Have strong commercial awareness and acumen to aid in problem solving.
  • Have the ability to work on their own initiative as well as to supervise the work of others.
  • Organise and oversee the execution and completion of audit field work as the lead on the audit engagement team.
  • Ensuring the completion of audit files by the team within planned timeframes and presenting same for review.
  • Completion of statutory financial statements and all other ancillary documents for review.
  • Ensuring effective communication with the client during the process and ensuring that relationships with clients are maintained, cultivated and strengthened.
  • Ensuring effective communication with other audit staff to ensure that their training needs are met and that jobs are delivered on time and to the required level of quality.

Experience/Requirements

  • ACCA, ACA, or CPA qualification or part qualified.
  • Experience of working in a practice environment for at least 2 years
  • Commitment to professional and client service excellence.
Sound computer literacy; MS Word, Excel, and Outlook

Remuneration Package

  • Salary depending on qualification and experience.
  • Coverage of professional subscriptions.
