Daily Rate Contract (hybrid role) Dublin

About the Position

Key Responsibilities

  • Representing QA within the dedicated Scrum team, ensuring quality standards are upheld throughout the development process.

  • Writing and executing manual test cases to verify the functionality and quality of the software.

  • Identifying manual test cases suitable for automation and contributing to the development of the automation test suite.

  • Providing input into QA test plans and strategies to ensure comprehensive test coverage.

  • Analysing and verifying automated test scripts for regression testing purposes.

  • Collaborating with Business Analysts (BA) and IT teams to understand the details and scope of each user story.

  • Estimating QA effort required to prepare and execute tests at the user story level.

  • Working with the Scrum team to define conditions of satisfaction for each user story.

  • Documenting test scripts at the user story level based on thorough understanding of scope and requirements.

  • Collaborating with various business areas to understand User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scope, inter-team dependencies, test data needs, and specific environment requirements.

  • Coordinating with IT to ensure timely deployment of code into relevant test environments for test execution.

  • Establishing and preparing necessary test data requirements for automation testing.

  • Conducting system testing and regression testing as needed to ensure software quality.

  • Participating in end-to-end testing with other Scrum teams to ensure proper integration and functionality.

  • Documenting defects encountered during test execution in detail and managing their resolution within the team in a timely manner.

  • Providing feedback and input into the QA team to enhance test coverage, accuracy of defect reporting, system performance, and process improvements.

  • Acting as the QA representative across all Scrum teams within the project, ensuring consistent quality standards are maintained across all aspects of development.

  • Strong manual tester, with experience in financial services.

  • Exposure to automation testing is preferable. Proven ability to identify Automation test cases.

  • Experience working on data projects, preferably using cloud technologies

  • Strong SQL skills is important and experience testing at a database level.

  • Experience in web-based, web services and data warehouse testing and releasing enterprise software applications on a frequent basis.
