About the Company
Mt client is a leading public sector client undergoing investment and IT change.
About the Position
We're seeking a seasoned IT Project Manager to join their team initially for 12 months.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the delivery of ICT projects while collaborating with stakeholders to ensure business outcomes are achieved.
Oversee project delivery, tracking, monitoring, and controlling all phases from concept to production.
Coordinate internal teams and external vendors for seamless project execution.
Define project scope and objectives, ensuring involvement from relevant stakeholders and technical feasibility.
Develop and maintain detailed project plans, tracking progress, and reporting on performance (scope, budget, and schedule).
Ensure effective resource allocation and availability.
Manage and report on project budgets, highlighting variances and providing updates to sponsors.
Set up governance structures at project initiation and escalate issues as necessary.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation following standardized PMO processes.
Handle changes to project scope, schedule, and costs with appropriate verification techniques.
Conduct risk management to document and communicate risks to stakeholders.
Present project updates and outcomes to senior management and executive steering groups.
Experience/Requirements
Minimum 10 years of experience in IT project management, with a track record of delivering projects across the full lifecycle.
Proven experience managing complex IT technical projects in environments with multiple stakeholders.
Budget management experience exceeding €5 million.
Strong familiarity with both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
Skills:
Leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal capabilities.
Analytical and commercial acumen to manage budgets and identify risks effectively.
Experience managing third-party vendors and facilitating strategic workshops with stakeholders.
Familiarity with stage-gate processes and governance frameworks.
Certifications:
Project Management qualifications (e.g., PRINCE2, PMI).
Remuneration Package
Salary is approx. E80K+ with 25 days holidays and additional benefits.
