Senior HR Business Partner - Grade 8

About the Position

I am currently partnering with a rapidly growing healthcare organisation that provides services for vulnerable adults and children to recruit for a Senior HR Business Partner. This is a Grade 8 Section 38 role and will report into the Head of HR and will sit in a relatively newly formed team.

Key Responsibilities

Employee and Industrial Relations 
  • Foster positive employee relations and maintain a positive culture and healthy work environment 
  • To advise and participate in the implementation of the grievance and disciplinary procedures and all aspects of employee relations within the hospital. 
  • Leading negotiations with staff and staff representative groups in relation to all employee relations, conflict resolution and personnel matters. 
  • Conduct and manage investigations of complaints and concerns.
  • Coach and consult with management on issues affecting morale, engagement and retention and implement improvement programs.
Employee Engagement and Wellness
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction. 
  • Conduct employee surveys and feedback mechanisms. 
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance employee Health & Wellbeing. 

Strategic HR Partnership:
  • Collaborate with leaders to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Provide HR insights and data to influence decision-making.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees.
  • Offer thought leadership on organizational and people-related strategy.
  • Develop people strategies to enhance organizational effectiveness and employee satisfaction.
Resource Planning:
  • Forecast resource needs to ensure the right people are in the right roles.
  • Promote diversity and inclusion in resource planning.
  • Advise on organizational structure and design.
  • Manage the Strategic Workforce Planning process.
Change Management:
  • Support strategy development and change implementation.
  • Challenge proposed remodeling exercises.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives during change.
  • Provide coaching and guidance on HR practices during change.
Performance Management:
  • Drive the Performance Review and Development process.
  • Assist managers in setting goals and conducting performance evaluations.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and feedback.
  • Develops strategies to recognize and reward high-performing employees.

Experience/Requirements

  • Third level education in Human Resources and a CIPD qualification
  • Extensive experience in Human Resources Management and significant managerial experience; 
  • Experience of working in a section 38 company; 
  • Strong background/experience in Human Resources at management level.
  • At least five years relevant work experience, preferably in a large health sector organisation.
  • Possess expert knowledge of employee relation issues, and resolution mechanisms/employment legal framework.
  • Exposure to all elements of HR practice: workforce planning/recruitment, HR skills training & development, performance management, talent management, succession planning, culture management, employee engagement & retention, HR data management, redeployment & redundancy programs
  • Excellent communication skills – written, verbal and able to influence and negotiate at all levels. 
  • Resilience and stamina to sustain performance when faced with a high volume of work and conflicting priorities. 
  • Ability to lead the change process, from problem recognition to change implementation and evaluation. 

Remuneration Package

€80,000 - €90,000
