IT Manager (Information Security)- North Dublin
About the Company
My client, a global services company based in North Dublin, now require an IT Security focused IT manager to join their growing ICT Department on a permanent basis. This person will be a hands on information security SME for the IT department.
About the Position
The successful candidate will advise on how best way to configure firewalls and other types of online protection in order to reduce external threat. In addition, you will also conduct internal and external checks to ensure all areas are sufficiently secure, you will also be expected to generate and introduce solutions in order to improve the company's overall security.
Finally, as the Information Security SME in this group you will implement 3rd party online training for our staff.
Work with IT Leadership and Management to develop and execute IT Information security strategy.
You will carry out vulnerability assessments across all systems (OnPrem and Cloud).
You will introduce, configure, manage firewalls, IDS and IPS systems as required
You will generate and introduce solutions in order to improve the company's overall security standing
You will play a major role in the security elements of disaster recovery.
Devise practical solutions and co-ordinate the reporting of issues that arise during audits/reviews to promote improvements to IT risk management and internal processes
Be responsible for the security of all infrastructural assets – both physical & virtual.
Maintain and develop existing partnerships with security / network vendors.
Engage with the change process to assist and advise on coordination and execution of changes affecting the security of systems and applications.
Work with IT to ensure all IT infrastructure & virtual assets are hardened, patched and secured.
Ensure SCOM dashboards & alerts monitoring Physical / Virutal infrastructure are best in class
Minimum 5 years of experience developed as IT Systems Security professional or infrastructure controls auditing
Qualified Information Systems Auditor or Information Security Certified consultant an advantage
IT security experience with SIEM advantageous
Proven background in configuring / working with firewalls, AD, virtualization essential
People and team management experience is essential.
