Healthcare Operations and Territory Manager

Our client, a not for profit organisation that provides support services are looking to recruit for an Operations Manager who will deliver their services to the vulnerable and their carers. This role will suit candidates who have previously been responsible for geographically defined territories. Experience in not for profit sector, healthcare or HSE is essential for this role

Key Responsibilities:

Services Development:

  • Maximise the impact and reach of services
  • Identify opportunities to grow day care, home care, respite care and other services within the area
  • Bring innovative solutions to the development of services and operations.
  • Report on key management information in this area and present proposals in relation to trends / anomalies identified.


  • Motivate, coach and empower all team members to perform to the best of their ability.
  • Implement full performance management of team including setting objectives, reviewing progress and addressing any performance issues that may arise
  • Ensure the effective management of all human resources (staff & volunteers); ensure clarity of roles, assignment of duties, adequate staff client ratios, arrangement of leave and payment of salaries etc

Branch and Volunteer Development:

  • Grow the volunteer capacity and roles to meet the needs of all branches, services and new developments
  • Ensure maintenance/establishment of a branch in each county.  Volunteer numbers are grown in line with agreed targets set out in the three year plan and are supporting the objectives set out within
  • Ensure all team members are clear on their objectives and are performing to the required standard, delivering on the objectives as set out in the three year plan

Quality and Standards:

  • Good working knowledge of HIQA residential standard and ensure that follow up procedures are followed to enhance quality standards at all times.
  • Responsible for ensuring standards of care and operational policies for services are consistently met.


  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • A relevant third level qualification
  • Experience leading operations projects which add value to an organisation
  • Experience of delivery-focused leadership of front line management
  • Experience of drafting, implementing and advising on policies and procedures and operational best practice.
  • Experience of providing operational support in a multi-site organisation is desirable.

Remuneration Package

€60,000 - €70,000
