This Investment Management firm offers great exposure to multi-product assets (FI, PE / PD and CTA) across their managed client account platforms. They service institutional global  investors.

This DP of Investment Management will be part of a key portfolio & analytics team that designs, implements and operates a dedicated financial infrastructure for client managed accounts and provides rigorous risk overlay solutions to facilitate and protect asset owners’ investment decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Investment Due Diligence

  • Support and approve the onboarding of new Funds. Complete initial and ongoing due diligence of investment managers to ensure they carry out their role in line with applicable regulatory standards and company policies.
  • Carry out appropriate due diligence on prime brokers, OTC counter-parties in accordance with the criteria established by or in conjunction with the Fund.

Investment Activities Oversight

  • Establish and review on a regular basis the investment guidelines including liquidity, borrowing and leverage limits of each Fund
  • Daily monitoring of the portfolio management investment activities of Funds to ensure that the assets are managed in accordance with the applicable Investment guidelines and limits.
  • Support the creation, production and delivery of supervisory reports related to portfolio manager’s investment management activities.
  • Provide instructions to portfolio managers to take necessary remedial action where the CEO acting in consultation with the CRO sees fit.
  • Validate that all securities have been priced with the selected and best available pricing sources.
  • Review and monitor the portfolio management activities of other portfolio manager(s) relating to Limited Management

Portfolio Analytics

  • Support internal activities in the development and execution of new data capabilities. Perform analysis of various internal data sets to enhance portfolio oversights.
  • Leverage data visualization tools to represent the data in a business-friendly manner


Regulatory & Stakeholder Communications
  • Ensure the Investment Management function is managed in line with CP86.
  • Responsible for monitoring regulatory matters impacting the Investment management function.
  • Ensure KIID’s are reviewed on an annual basis.
  • Build suitable reporting flows and communication to facilitate efficient oversight program for the investment management function.
  • Prepare and present ongoing reporting to the relevant stakeholders (e.g., internal committees, executive committee, management company board, fund boards).

 

Ideal Candidate Profile & Professional Experience Required:

  • Solid experience ideally within an Investment Management or related roles across Trustee / Custody role.
  • Experience working with large data sets and data visualization tools such as Tableau, Qlik or Power BI will be considered.
  • Currently a CF / PCF holder with experience to hold a PCF role (DP for Investment Management)
  • Knowledge of alternative investment fund instruments, experience in regulations/ guidance issued by the CBI and other relevant European regulatory bodies (ESMA) is ideal.
  • Skilled in highly analytical roles with ability to develop / use finance models would be advantageous.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Self-motivated team player.
