Product Owner – Global IT Organisation - Remote

About the Company

My client, based in Limerick and with a great remote working / hybrid working policy, is a global technology led organisation specialising in the provision of IT and business managed services to global insurers. 

About the Position

As Product Owner, you will be responsible for defining and managing the scope of business requirements, including defining functional and non-functional requirements for AI products, analysing business needs through joint refinement sessions, meetings and presentations, preparing and maintaining documentation including technical requirements all the while acting as a liaison between the stakeholders across the business and technical teams including data science. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Leads cross-functional teams to analyze and understand opportunities for technology change
  • Understands technical solution design and can communicate solution details to both business and technical peers
  • Identifies process boundaries and develops opportunities to automate processes and functions
  • Builds partnerships with stakeholders to provide technical guidance on future system opportunities and enhancements
  • Develops requirements artifacts, system process flows, and associated diagrams and ensure high-level designs including architecture requirements are accurately documented and map to approved requirements
  • Conducts activity-based analysis of the system processes and provides recommendations based on the findings
  • Assist in developing training documentation and proactive identification of additional documentation needs


  • 5+ years’ experience gained as a Busines Analyst or Product Owner, capturing requirements and developing and visualizing insights based on data
  • Stakeholder management with respect to scoping and requirements management
  • Understand data structures and can query and compare data to validate against technical solutions and business rules
  • Experience in Agile methodologies using the Scrum framework
  • Experience in creating user stories in particular for data products
  • BA/BS degree in business or technical related field, or business equivalent
