Chief Financial Officer Brightwater Executive have been retained to appoint a Chief Finance Officer for an independent health service provider based in Dublin. The Chief Finance Officer will be responsible for the provision of the overall financial direction, strategic, fiscal and business leadership to the organisation. As a key member of the Senior Management Team, the post-holder will provide support to the Board, the Chief Executive and the Senior Management Team across a variety of initiatives and developments. Responsibilities • Ensure the attainment of the organisations financial/income performance targets and the achievement of year-end financial balance. • Adhere to the highest standards of corporate governance in respect of accountability for expenditure. • Provide specialised advice and guidance to the Chief Executive, the Senior Management Team and the Board on matters relating to cost containment, risk, financial impact and business sustainability. • Lead the transformation of the finance function in responding to the changing requirements of the service. • Lead negotiations with the health insurers and other funders in relation to funding, establishment of financial targets and on-going monitoring of the allocation and funding of new service developments. • On-going development of financial systems, processes and procedures including contributing to design of improved internal budgetary/accounting models. • Lead the modernisation/transformation of the finance function to respond to the changing requirements of the organisation. • Foster excellent relationships with key stakeholders; in particular private insurers, peer organisations and other external agencies with whom there are business relationships. • Work effectively as part of the Senior Management Team with support staff and all key stakeholders. • Contribute to corporate management of the organisation, play a key role in corporate communications internally and externally. • Maintain effective staff communications and work with the HR Department to ensure a framework of communication and compliance with employment policies and procedures. Experience: • Master's degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent business experience • Experience in a health service provider is beneficial • 3rd party and internal Influencing & negotiation skills. • Should have experience in partnering with an executive team • Adapted to a medium size organization that is growing: doer mindset, but able to adopt a strategic perspective • Attention to detail & strong report writing skills. • Strong leadership, able to drive teams of operational managers in delivering projects • Delivery and process focussed.
