At the forefront of developments in primary and secondary process equipment, this Irish based company has retained Brightwater Recruitment Specialist to recruit a Project Engineer with experience of delivering complex technical CapEx projects across key industrial sectors (food, fine chemical, pharmaceutical, energy).

Job Purpose/Description:

Reporting to the Project Managers in the Pharma & Food Department, the purpose of this position is to assist the Project Managers in the planning, organisation and running of a project in order to achieve the project objectives safely and within agreed time, cost and performance criteria.

Responsibilities:

- Perform Calculations required for equipment verification; - Review and analyse client specifications in terms of Company’s quotation, scope of supply and commercial items; - Generate P&ID’s and control changes; - Generate and check project engineering deliverables such as technical specifications, procurement submittals and handover documentation; - Generate Purchase Requisition Forms for Project Equipment and Components; - Performing Design Reviews with client/production/mechanical Eng department; - Generating & Maintaining Project Database and control of Project Documentation; - Inspecting the mechanical build as it progresses; - Facilitate project communications and reports; - Assisting with Incoming Inspection of Project Equipment and Components; - Work with other internal departments to ensure project objectives are met; - FAT and Commissioning Support for Projects;

Previous Experience & Role Requirements:

- 2-5 years’ experience in similar role in related industry - BEng in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Process, Chemical Engineering or similar - Mechanical and process engineering experience, ideally in the food & beverage, pharmaceutical, biotechnology or other regulated industry an advantage - Must have strong MS Office skills - Good telephone, oral and written communication skills in English (including experience in dealing with clients and vendors) - Excellent, interpersonal, and organisational skills - Must possess good attention to detail and flexibility of approach - Must work well as part of a team - Must be able to demonstrate the ability to meet strict deadlines - Must be able to work under one’s own initiative and to actively contribute to a multi-disciplined project team Interested candidates who feel they have the necessary qualifications and experience to meet the requirement of this career development opportunity should forward a copy of their current CV to Andrew Rowley at Brightwater Specialist Recruitment via the link below.
