Summary of the Business

Brightwater are sourcing for a Claims Manager – Dublin. The Claims Manager is responsible for handling employers’ liability, public liability claims, personal injury, property damage and clinical negligence claims.

Responsibilities

1. Responsible for management of portfolio of approx. 300 claims as assigned by the Senior Claims Manager. 2. Responsible for investigation and evaluation of each claim assigned and for recommending the resolution strategy and actions. 3. Manage relationships with external professionals (e.g., solicitors, barristers, engineers, doctors) as required to seek guidance on the course of action that is in our best interest. 4. Select solicitors & barristers (from panels) and experts for cases and attend meetings where appropriate with the relevant persons / experts. 5. Responsible for ensuring timely processing of all claims. 6. Acts as a daily contact for business to provide advice and guidance on issues pertinent to employers or public liability claims. 7. Allocate work as appropriate to team of administrators.

Qualifications - Experience

• Third level / Professional qualification desirable. • Good knowledge of employers’ and public liability law. • Previous 5 years’ experience as a loss adjuster, solicitor, barrister or claims manager within claims management in loss adjusting firm or in an insurance company
