Trade Support Specialist

Overall purpose of role
The Quant Prime Services team is responsible for developing and servicing the low latency equity execution product. This includes managing relationships with our Systematic clients, understanding their requirements and enabling development/build of differentiated, market defining product ‘attractors’ which meet the needs of our prospective and current client base.
Key Accountabilities
• Support day to day client activity; monitor client flow, primary client escalation point, outage management • Track, manage and resolve client issues, working with relevant internal teams • Handle all aspects of trade flow from execution, booking and settlement. Act as escalation point for middle and back office teams. • Technical account management; Perform regular client reviews (MIS, Limits, Requests etc) and engage internal/external stakeholders as necessary • Produce and maintain desk documentation in line with firm policies and procedures • Assist in new release testing, escalate and manage issues accordingly • Research and manage projects relating to the Quant PS business, ensuring the projects remain on track and meet the objectives of stakeholders and clients • Provide subject matter expertise, supporting both technical and operational aspects of the projects where necessary
Stakeholder Management and Leadership
• Build and maintain internal key working relationships across Technology, Equities, Equity Finance, TCU, Middle Office and with external vendors and market participants • Provide an innovative approach to the way we deal with clients in order to reduce costs, improve efficiencies and enhance the client’s experience
Decision-making and Problem Solving
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritise and handle multiple issues simultaneously • Process improvement; challenge existing processes and develop effective support & operations tools. Automate process to reduce manual intervention and mitigate risk
Risk and Control Objective
Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Policies and Policy Standards Person Specification
Essential

Technical
• FIX • Advanced Excel/VBA
Preferred
• FCA Registered Representative • 2+ years’ experience of working in a technical Service/Support role within an Investment Firm, Exchange or Service Provider • Exposure to hedge funds/proprietary trading firms
