Investment Reconciliations Analyst


This role is positioned in the ICT team which delivers Asset Reporting under Solvency II Regulations. The role holder will support and assist in the Custodian Reconciliation process, whilst ensuring processes and procedures are followed so that best practice is consistently adhered to.

The role holder will be responsible for the following:
• Assist in the preparation of timely Policy Reconciliation Process for a large and diversified Custodian Base • Provide assistance in monitoring of Custodians portfolios along with investigating and assisting in resolutions • Investigate and query discrepancies on Custodian data feeds via email / phone • Update Departmental Internal Trackers to record Custodian status • Access Client Portals to extract and reconcile data feeds • Perform timely investigation of all reconciliation breaks - ensuring all breaks are appropriately logged and that the log is kept up to date • Provide support with the on-boarding process of new Custodians by ensuring the relevant counterparties are able to meet the required standards • Perform ad-hoc duties as requested • Assist in audit work where required • Assist with continuous improvement of operational processes and systems, in line with controls and risk management in a regulatory environment.
The role holder will:
• Reconcile policyholder positions and investigation issues such as analysing discrepancies; • Ability to report issues directly with the relevant counterparty; • Demonstrate ability to follow processes and procedure and provide feedback for improvement. • Proven experience of working with large teams and the ability to work with demanding and tight timelines
Main Accountabilities
Planning & Design • Support the business in the development of new initiatives. Organizational Set-up / distribution of Work • Maintain a best in class Investment Reconciliation team with the appropriate competencies, approach and ability required to support the business. • Delivery of the Department objectives How the position is expected to Delivery • Delivery of timely Policy Reconciliation Process for a large and diversified Custodian Base. This includes performance of data cleansing and investigation of unexplained discrepancies. • Assist with Internal and External Audit queries with the objective to minimize/eliminate findings. Control • Assist in continuous improvement of operational processes and systems, with an appreciation of the concept of controls and risk management in a regulatory environment. People / stakeholder Management • Work collaboratively with Internal and External stakeholders.
Required / Desirable Qualifications and Experience
• Minimum of 1-2 years’ Customer Services experience; • Some experience of analysis, manipulation and cleansing of large volumes of data; • Experience in dealing with HNW and UHNW Individuals with the ability to solve issues efficiently and effectively; • The ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines while displaying strong attention to detail; • Enthusiastic, organised and self-motivated • Demonstrates strong organisational and communication skills; • Good knowledge of MS-Office Suite, especially Excel. • Some knowledge of Access and SQL would be highly beneficial.
