Brightwater are currently looking for an R&D Analyst to join a rapidly expanding team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the Analytical Method development and testing for new products and line extensions using an entrepreneurial approach. HPLC experience is essential.


• Responsible for the effective completion of Wet chemistry, Liquid and Gas chromatographic Analytical Method Verifications, Analytical Method Development, Validations and Transfers as requested. • Develop familiarity with basic and advanced laboratory equipment (operation, raw data processing, basic maintenance and calibration and qualification). • Provision of technical support: Support the Technical Services group during investigations and Analytical method transfers into Quality Control and Production. • Prepare, Review and Check basic and advanced area documentation (Laboratory notebooks, laboratory reagent logbook, SOPs, Protocols, Reports and Specification Sheets). • To ensure that work is carried out in compliance with the organization’s quality system. Ensure that quality documentation is generated and updated to reflect current best practice and that this is done in a timely manner. • Assist when necessary in formulation activities of in-house newly developed products or trouble-shooting activities. • To harness good communication within the team and with other sections within the company. • Ensure equipment is maintained in accordance with cGMP requirements in terms of operation, raw data processing, maintenance, calibration and qualification.


• Minimum of 3 years’ experience within a research and development or laboratory environment


• BSc Degree in Chemistry or other related discipline


• Strong analytical/quantitative skills, including HPLC • Good computer skills with high proficiency in Microsoft Office a plus • Thorough understanding of quality systems and cGMPs. • Project management experience an advantage
