Head of IT Brightwater Executive have been exclusively retained to appoint a Head of IT that will guarantee the effective and efficient implementation and maintenance of the our client’s IT infrastructure, communication technologies systems and applications for the firm.

Main accountabilities:

• Develop an IT Strategy to support the company’s ambitious growth strategy • Lead an IT team of 3-4 IT professionals to deliver that strategy to the business and facilitate growth and improved efficiencies • Collaborate with the COO and Management Committee around IT strategies to support their business goals • Participate in the business planning and ongoing investment prioritisation process and drive a balanced portfolio of improvement, transformational and innovation initiatives in line with business requirements. • Manage the IT team that supports one of the top legal firms in Ireland • Ensure high standards of governance and control in line with company standards and best practice, and enforce firm policies in relation to GDPR. Develop and update firm IT policies as required. • Guarantee the IT support (including IT Training) on relevant applications/systems to the assigned user community and triggers the definition of processes, service levels and standards; collect emerging needs and inputs and suggest action to management for service improvement. • Define IT service level agreements with internal clients and continuously fine-tune internal and external processes to guarantee their respect • Locally deploy system/hardware/application upgrades agreed with management and propose relevant improvements to firmwide IT infrastructure. • Manage the existing IT portfolio of applications and hardware. • Responsible for managing the primary relationship with the firms managed services provider and ensuring compliance with agreed SLAs. • Negotiate with suppliers of hardware, network and services to optimise costs and quality, according to • defined standards and suggest improvements to firm framework contracts • Define and manage the IT budget (based on the defined business needs and in agreement with • management

Professional competencies:

• Proven experience on IT Management • Knowledge of market leading cffice computing software, operating system software, database system software, applications, hardware architectures, networking and system administration software, and legal specific software relating to practice management and dictaiton • Complete understanding of SLAs and implications for activities • Negotiation techniques • Analytical treatment of figures and budgeting
