 Our client a global insurance provider has recently established a new subsidiary in the Dublin market. We have an exciting opportunity for an existing Risk Manager to join their team. This is a stand alone role and will report directly into the CEO. This global firm has recently overhauled their benefits package and also offer a very progressive work life / flexible approach to work. Based in Dublin city centre this role will suit a professional who is looking to develop into a PCF holder in the next 12 months. Day to day duties include but are not limited to; • Taking ownership for all aspects for Risk Management, reporting to a local CEO and CRO (based in the UK) as well as providing regular updates to the board. • Working closely with European Risk and Compliance teams: assisting in the design and development of risk management and compliance strategies, principles, framework and policy so that risks are managed to the best economic advantage, and within its stated risk appetite and that remains Solvency II compliant. • Demonstrate appropriate risk management and compliance knowledge of processes and methodologies including ongoing monitoring of their effectiveness. • Ensure that all key risks are identified, assessed and monitored on an ongoing basis, and prepare reports for management, relevant committees and the Board of Directors • Ensure that best practice is applied and maintained by leveraging communication channels with relevant internal and external parties. Participate as a member of the Europe Executive Risk Committee. • Work together with Europe ERM function to ensure that all group requirements relating to risk management are met. • Act as the company’s Europe Central Bank of Ireland specialist, keeping up to date with regulatory requirements. Key requirements • University degree holder with a minimum of 6 years financial risk experience • Knowledge of European Insurance compliance / risk market and regulations advantageous • Proven track record in risk management techniques and best practices • Strong communication and presentation skills.
