Head of Operations Brightwater Executive have been retained to appoint a Head of Operations for Non Profit organisation.Reporting to the CEO, the Head of Operations will ensure the efficient and effective management of all national operations and services, to deliver the targets set out in the organisation’s strategic plan. Part of the Senior Management Team, the position also plays a key role in risk management and contributes to the development and implementation of organisational strategies, policies and practices. Principal Accountabilities: Leadership • Motivate and empower all team members to perform to the best of their ability through the organisations values. • Implement full performance management with direct reports and promptly address any performance issues that may arise. • Ensure the management team are effective in their management and people management responsibilities. • Ensure fair and consistent application of all policies and procedures, leading a culture of compliance and excellence. • Provide clear, concise and timely information to team members. • Enhance and protect the reputation and identity of The Society by constantly focusing on training, upskilling and risk management. Organisational effectiveness • Ensure we provide the most effective structures and systems and internal processes for the provision of services to our clients. • Manage all operations and functions to maximise their performance. • Increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the delivery of all services, introducing improvements as well as improving coordination and communication. • Drive initiatives in the management team and organisationally that contribute to long-term operational excellence. • Manage the sustainable growth of the organisations s service offering. • Introduce and promote new service models based on innovative practice and comprehensive evaluation. Branch and Volunteer Development • Ensure branches and volunteers are provided with a real definable role, structure and support network. • Ensure effective structures and systems are in place to attract, engage, retain, train and up-skill all existing and new volunteers and branch members. • Ensure recognition, communication and engagement systems are in place for volunteers and branches. • Ensure all volunteers and branch members are integrated to the wider organisation. Quality and standards • Accountable for the effective implementation of care practice and regulatory standards across all areas and for ensuring that a measured increase in quality and standards is resulting. • Identify key risks and trends and ensure these are managed to ensure the highest quality standards. • As a learning organisation, lead and promote on-going development and continuous improvement. Financial Management • Manage and monitor the annual budget in line with agreed targets and ensure an effective system of controls is in place. • Conduct monthly and quarterly assessments and forecasts of financial performance against budget, financial and operational goals. • Review short and long-term financial and managerial data to identify trends, variances and take corrective action where appropriate. • Reconcile monthly activity and generate year-end reports. • Develop long-range forecasts and maintain long-range financial plans.
