IT Administrator (Endpoint Management EPM) Daily Rate Contract

Our client are a global gaming company with offices in Dublin. They have an immediate requirement for a solid IT Administrator with experience in Endpoint Management and Application Packing.

The Role Management, maintenance and performance of all client side operating systems, software and distribution systems. • Review, testing, implementation and reporting of software update requirements including regular security patch deployment • Maintenance of the VDI ‘gold image’ and provisioning platforms • Analyse performance impact of software related changes • Ownership of the global client imaging system, its processes and the development of standards and processes. • Documentation of processes and procedures for all key responsibilities areas • Development and management of all end-point operating system images for either virtual or physical targets. • Development and management of custom application installers using appropriate tools. • Global escalation point for endpoint software bugs • Occasional outside hours support The ideal candidate: You should have a demonstrable experience working in a similar IT service role or software packaging role including: • Substantial experience of application packing including the build of custom MSI (Microsoft Installer Packages) and package builders • Substantial experience of Microsoft Office products including Office 365 • Substantial experience of software deployment through group policy • Substantial experience on endpoint management and control software such as Safend, CISCO FireAMP, Checkpoint • Substantial experience of deployment technology and patch management tools such as WDS, SCCM, Ivanti/Shavlik, • An excellent understanding of Microsoft Operating Systems and applications, including essential knowledge of deployment techniques, software configuration and components. • Excellent communication and diplomacy skills. • Able to work extended and flexible hours as required to account for patch and update cycles on a global basis. • Self-starter able to make progress with minimal supervision. • Ability to identify and prioritise work within tight time scales in order to meet deadlines. • Experience in VMWare VDI provisioning and support • Knowledge of scripting technologies including Windows Scripting Host, Perl • A foundation in basic system administration within the *nix environment This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading global company on a daily rate contract.
