IT Jobs- Our client a leading Global Software company located in Dublin City Centre have an excellent IT job opportunity for a Lead Software Engineer with excellent hands on experience in Java/ Spark and experience within a Big Data environment to join a new team in a large and innovative tech hub in Dublin. This position will also be required to come up with architectural proposals and work with other architects in broader teams to ensure right technology decisions are made which is in line with enterprise strategy. They are working with modern technologies like AWS EMR, AWS Glue, Spark/Scala, AWS Redshift, Elastic Search and Kubernetes to build the next generation of their products and infrastructure. • Design, develop, modify and/or test software applications for the healthcare industry. • Design, build, and deploy performant and scalable solutions by applying algorithms, data structures, and development best practices. • Work on big data platforms, create complex data processing pipelines for data ingestion and data management. • Take complete ownership of modules, be architect for the team and represent team for architectural reviews • Contribute to code review process. • Clarify requirements and implement solutions that encompass analysis. • Ensure high quality solutions by design and build unit tests, integration test, load test, and user acceptance tests. • Actively participate in all phases of project development life cycle including engineering ETL, CI/CD, data access policies, procedures, standards and supporting documentation, code design, process flow analysis, development, benchmark analysis, performance/tuning, capacity planning, and production implementation • Production support responsibilities include maximizing system availability, ensuring swift and complete database recovery, optimizing big data cluster and database and availability through ongoing maintenance, and ensure conformance to audit and operating standards

Education and Experience:

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience. • bachelor’s degree in applicable area of expertise or equivalent experience • 7+ years of Java and/or Scala Ecosystem knowledge/experience • Broad knowledge and working experience with Spark, big data, and relational database technologies • 3+ years of Spark, big data ecosystem ETL coding experience • 7+ years of analytical skills and capable of influencing on technical issues • 5+ years working with RDBMS (One or more of: Oracle, SQLServer, PostgreSQL, Redshift) • Professional Software Development experience with standard agile practice, CI/CD required Please note you must currently be eligible to work and remain indefinitely without any restrictions in the country to which you are making an application.
