 Your main responsibilities will include, but not necessarily be limited to, the following: • Provide advice on pensions law matters • Provide trust, financial services and/or regulatory advice • Provide legal advice on consumer, customer and broker matters • Draft, negotiate, review and advise on a variety of pensions, trust and commercial documentation • Provide advice and support regarding future regulatory changes and new business projects • Ensure that advice accurately reflects applicable laws, regulations and practice • Mitigate legal risk and assist with commercial risk mitigation and regulatory compliance Internal & External Relationships: • Reporting to Head of Technical Services and Legal Counel • Relevant business contacts and senior management • “Service provider” relationship with business contacts that call on advice • External Lawyers • Brokers and Customers as deemed necessary by the business Education & Experience Required • Irish Qualified Lawyer - Ideal candidate will have minimum 2-4 years post qualification experience in pensions, insurance and/or commercial law • Experience of pensions / insurance / financial services practice from an Irish legal and regulatory perspective an advantage • Practical understanding of pensions and insurance business is an advantage • Good technical knowledge, drafting ability and attention to detail • Knowledge of EU law and regulation is preferable • Excellent communication, influencing, negotiation and presentation skills with ability to adapt style to suit audience • Ability to work effectively within a team environment • Ability to work on own initiative in fast moving environment • Customer centric, results driven • Ability to proactively seek pragmatic solutions • Strong problem solving ability Benefits • Annual bonus • Pension • Healthcare • 35 hour working week • Discount on personal insurance products • Health screening • Extremely supportive working environment which focuses on employees and their wellbeing – there is an internal “Employee Assistance Program”.
